Post A Piece of Art in Leather

All,
I comissioned our own Jerry Burney some months ago to make for me a 6" Navy holster in brown pigskin. I have seen only one ORIGINAL in my many years of lusting after, buying and selling toggle tops. My intention was, as I own one of the last Navy Lugers (Mauser commerative), it seemed appropo to have a contemporary holster.

Likewise, as Dr. Gminder's staff pulled out all the stops in making the commerative, perhaps it deserved a suitable holster.

Jerry completely exceeded all expectations. It is a magnificent work of leathercraft and, beyond any doubt, the finest Luger custome holster I have ever seen. Jerry paid extreme attention to recreating the exact details of the Navy Type 1 holster even to the part of using cowhide leather instead of pigskin at those crucial points where it was used on the originals.

I own a lot of Navy Luger leather, from 1904 until today. This is my proudest holster, in addition to it's peerless quality, but also because it was made by my fellow 173D Airborne Brigade Combat Infantryman Jerry Burney.

Jerry, thanks for doing what you do so well. You are truly a master at the leatherman's craft.

I believe that a post like that, without pictures, comes under the heading of "CRUEL & UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT" <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />
