Post Before and after

I wanted to share the before and after pics of Jerry Burney's work. I recently acquired a 1942 BYF wrapped in a 1934 holster. I thought the holster needed a little TLC, and contacted Jerry Burney. I sent it out to him, and what I got back was nothing short of pure craftsmanship. Wow. I spoke with Jerry on the telephone and found out that he was also a great guy. I took up several minutes of his time and we spoke of collecting and such. I thought this was fitting to show these pics as a thank you, and also to wish him well in his upcoming surgery. My thoughts and prayers go out to him, and his family as well for a safe and speedy recovery. I was unable to post the pics, having technical difficulties with the computer. I e-mailed them to lugerforum@yahoo.com. I was hoping someone could assist me with posting these so that all could see.
Mike

Thanks Jerry

Hi Mike,

Please e-mail them to the correct LugerForum address of:

lfadmin@lugerforum.com

And I'll post them for you - or e-mail you the links so you can put them in a thread..

Either way - it would be a pleasure to assist, OK?

Mike, Thanks very much for doing what I should do from time to time, displaying before and after photo's. I am so busy restoring holsters I cannot find the time to do this sort of thing. Beyond showing sound craftsmanship, it is an example of special interest to show the membership what can be done to restore a very valuble holster back to it's previous glory. The true importance of all this is your willingness and interest to preserve a piece of history for the future. A noble gesture on your part and those of others who do likewise. I thank you for your trust and confidence as well as your patronage of my humble craft.

John, Many thanks to you for the time , trouble and expense you expend helping us all with this passionate interest we have. I don't say it often enough but your site, The Luger Forum, means a lot to me and many others. Thank you. Jerry Burney

I just got the photos from byf42 at the Lugerforum@yahoo.com email account...and then discovered that John D. had already posted them.

Sometimes my access to that account is very limited because of the virus/worms threats... my company cuts off access to such free accounts for two to three weeks at a time. I am glad that John D. was able to help out.

Jerry Burney does absolutely amazing work.
