Sorry Sanya, but the images you displayed using direct links to the other website have copyrights and can not be displayed here on the forum without the expressed consent of the other website owner...

You can list the URL for other to visit those images as I have edited your post above to do...

It is rather complicated, but that is the law...

Hello Sanya,

I recently purchased an original 1924 Pacific Arms catalog for my collection showing the various items which interests your research. When I receive the catalog in a few weeks (with the original price list), I shall post some large clear scans, or send them to you.

Best wishes,
Albert

John, It will be my pleasure to post images when I receive the catalog. I am sure that it will benefit us students of Luger stuff! I believe that the catalog also shows a TM-08, holsters and a couple of stocks. The Artillery Luger constructed in the US with the silencer is quite 'groovy'.

Cheers,
Albert

Albert,

thanks for your fast response... I have no idea how large this catalog is, but if it is not too many pages, may I suggest and recommend that you scan each page and create a Member Gallery album containing the pages... that would truely be a unique album, and I doubt there would be any copyright issue since the company has been out of business for more years than many of our younger members have even been alive...

Sanya et al, I have such a catalogue with the price list etc. I have a scanner and can copy parts of the catalogue for you also but I have yet to figure out how the hell to post images on this forum.

I also have an artillery barrel and extension that was modified for a silencer.

To George Anderson

Dear George!

You need to have internet spacing for your files.
Good service - http://geocities.yahoo.com/
Than go to Upload Photos Section of Lugerforum
and follow Instructions.
If the file not big - in your message use direct links to the file.

I with greate pleasure inform you
and anybody who want to know
about publication images in the Lugerforum
or anywhere in the net if you
write me on
E-mail:SANYA2003@INBOX.RU

or do that myself and describe for you how
to control this images
if you attach your scans to my E-mail.

Images for Lugerforum has a size limitation
and better way to do scans in b/w mode for reducing size,
and the best way to organize on Lugerforum
Download Section for members and put in it
good quality scans with unlimited size.

Best wishes,

Sanya

Hello John,

I shall follow your advice and create a Member Gallery album for the Pacific Arms catalog as soon as I receive it. I believe that the catalog has 3-5 pages dealing with the Luger. The front cover shows a LP-08 with an US installed silencer and one of the inside pages shows a M1923 Long Barrel with a scope and holster. With my expertise in scanning, the file size will be reasonable.

Cheers,
Albert

Fellow collectors,

It is my pleasure to inform you that I have posted on the Member Gallery scans of my interesting 1924 Pacific Arms catalog.

The information is very extensive and it shows a few impressive long barrel Lugers with various accessories.

The introduction for this item on the Member Gallery is as follows:

"This 1924 vintage catalog is one of the few catalogs for the US market which promoted the Luger firearm as a hunting and defense gun by emphasizing its convertibility and performance as an accurate long range carbine. It is also interesting to read about the company's 'political' stance against the ban of firearms and the right to bear arms. This catalog is owned by Albert Beliard of Imperial Arms."

I hope you enjoy the contents of the album.

Cheers,
Albert

Albert,

That is simply outstanding!!! My thanks for sharing!! I'm amazed at the text and the pictures. Simply incredible..!

However, the testing of the body armour picture, in todays times - would qualify the model as a contender for a "Darwin Award".. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Hello John & Viggo,

When I first discovered the catalog, I had no idea of the quantity of fascinating information inside to be learned and appreciated. Seeing an awkward LP-08 rig with a silencer on the front cover did not turn me on. However, now I believe the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover'!

What intrigued me the most was the prices of the accessories such as carrying cases, straps and high capacity magazines including the TM-08.

I am glad that you found the data in the catalog very interesting and I shall also provide soon scans of my early Hans Tauscher catalog.

Cheers,
Albert

Hi,

Albert, many thanks for publication of The Pasific Arms Corp. (PA) Catalog 1924.
But after receiving some ansers, I have some questions.

Maxim Silenser - How it attached to any of the PA exchangable barrels?

About Hensoldt telescope and Yankee mounting - if during three years PA
(befor 1924, and maybe some years after) was bombarded with requests
to equip PA long barrel Lugers with telescope and mount especially designed for the Lugers
(for 22 mm instrument and for larger instrument on special order was available) -
Where are this Lugers with this telescopes and mounts, or theirs photos?

Luger as a "baby machine gun" - is it full auto Luger?
Luger ful auto with scope and silenser is great!

Very interestig Luger Accessories - grips and holsters with PA logo,
carrier for two 32-shot Luger magazines, 12" and 16" holsters and stocks -
I want to see theirs too!

What we can read in PA catalogs and which Lugers PA produced after 1924?
Maybe about 45 cal. full auto Luger with scope, silenser and 10-shot magazine?

Reseach need to be continue!

Regards,

Sanya

Hello Sanya,

I shall try my best to answer your questions using data I have obtained from other vintage sources as well as my personal theories:

1) According to the description in the catalog, the Maxim silencer is detachable. It probably locks around the front sight;

2) Sadly the survival rate of these carbines with a telescopic sight is extremely low or non-existent today, and probably very few were sold in the US as a result of its expensive cost. Apparently, this type of custom-made carbine was more expensive that a M1902 Luger Carbine and maybe PA customers were not interested with this type of unusual carbine for hunting or defense, even if PA made great claims about its performance and accuracy;

3) Although PA mentioned 'machine-gun' in the catalog, it does not appear that they provided or converted a Luger pistol/carbine into a full-automatic firearm. I assume they wanted to demonstrate the versatility of their custom made firearms or conversions using many different types of accessories;

4) I give credit to PA for making available a wide variety of accessories for the Luger pistol, and it shows/proves that PA had plenty of faith in the Luger firearm. Note item #38 on page 5 which is for a 100 round magazine! I cannot imagine the size of that magazine!

5) It is difficult to determine which other products PA offered after 1924, unless later catalogs are discovered, or similar catalogs from other retailers/resellers in the US are compared.

Whatever happens, do not dream too much about a .45 caliber Luger with silencer, scope, high capacity magazine etc!! Maybe it is 'healthy' to dream once in a while, but do not go overboard!

I am glad to share my research and knowledge with fellow collectors in order to expand the knowledge base and to attract new collectors into this exciting field.

Happy hunting,
Albert
