Karl, you nailed it. The trigger lever was just close enough to to keep the plunger from extracting under the shock of firing. It always did work under shop conditions. Also the bevel on the trigger lever was not nearly as pronounced as on two of my other Lugers. A little touch of the stone did the trick. Thanks so much for the info.
