Hi,
Anyone have a good overview of cleaning rod types? Tried to scan through the archives but found most pictures aren't available (anymore?) What has a wooden kegshaped handle with 2 lines per side? What I have looks like a LP08 rod, but I haven't seen this type of handle before. Most have 3 lines per side on the handle... |

Just repeating the question,
Anybody can indentify this? Browsed through quite some books but they only show the handle with 3 lines per side. |

I am not sure, but I think that this might be a NAVY cleaning rod... perhaps someone else might be able to give some more information...

John,
Would be nice, since the Dutch Korps Mariniers used navy equipment, amongst others. |

It does NOT appear to be Imperial German Navy; all of my Imperial German Navy rods have 3 rings.

Thanks for the correction Tom A. Nice to have you around when I make mistakes like that!

My Friend John et al,
It may still be a Navy rod, but not necessarily Imperial German Navy. I try to avoid ruling things out, without qualification, in dealing with these wonderful pistols. There is still so much we do not know. Tom A. Tom A. |
