Hello Federico,
First of all welcome to the Luger Forum. There are not a lot of Italian fellows that take part to our discussion so I am very happy that another Italian guy reaches us. If you wish I can reduce the photosâ?? size of your beautiful Persian contract Luger to allow a correct download. Let me know. Ciao Mauro P.S. Vercelli is a beautiful city located in the North of Italy.

Hi Frederico,
Welcome to the Luger Forum...We have several members that live in Italia...so hopefully you will make some new luger friends that might live near your home. I have moved your photos, here, so others might see them more easily : (Click on the photos to make them enlarge, automatically...) <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_1.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_1.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_2.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_2.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_3.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_3.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_4.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_4.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_5.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_5.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_6.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/lp08_6.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |

Frederico, I would like very much to see photos of the back of your holster and the steel attaching iron of the stock. Also are there any marks on the holster?
It has often been speculated that some of the accoutrements were made by Mauser and some were made in Iran. Perhaps your "rig" can help answer some of these questions. |

Geo,
My last Persian Arty had a beautiful heavy Mauser sub-contracted holster in heavy cigarette tobacco colored (Or Cognac colored for those who never smoked or beechwood colored for those who never smoked nor drank) saddle leather. It was a joy to behold. This piece appears to be an "In Country" goat skin fabrication. My zwei pfennigs, Tom A. |

Hi Federico,
If you go to the Discussion section titled "Site Help & Feedback" you will see an instructional posting (first posting in that section) on how to post photos here on the Luger Forum. If you have no luck, you are welcomed to send them to my email at "pebbink@pacbell.net" and I will post them for you on the Forum. Do not worry about the size of your photo files if you send them to me...I can resize them to fit the 200KB jpegp file size limit on the Forum before I post them for you. p.s. Your Persian LP-08 rig is very beautiful. You must certainly be proud to own it. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |
