Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum and don't know as much about lugers as you guys so i'm hoping you could help me out about a luger I bought in a local gun shop. It is a supposed Black Widow, There is some small white spots on the BBl. some holster ware and the grip frame has some old rust spots, cleaned off but overall not in to bad condition. As to the markings the toggle is BYF , reciever is 41 left frame has two Waffenamts eagle 655 and 655 or 656. In front of the trigger guard is 9449 and the letter o , the BBl. has numerious eagle and swasticas with the numbers 9449 and 882 . All numbers on the pistol match including the firing pin and clip. The clip has a aluminum thumb piece with the number 9449 and letter o , it also is marked with a eagle 37 and the number 122. The bore is EXLT. Grips are black checkerd plastic. Any idea when the pistol was made also is this pistol all original and value. |

Hi Ron,
Photos would be helpful!! It appears that you have an early 1941 Luger, completed in about February 1941. The 122 magazine matches the pistol number (which is good). I doubt that the grips are original, they should have been wooden. Never-the-less a nice addition to your collection!! ![]() |
