Question Cleaning Rod & Take Down Tool Ques.

Hello,

I have two questions, the first would be: What cleaning rod would generally be issued with a 1914 Erfurt (Brass or Wood handle?)and would it be marked with an Imperial stamp or something else.

My second question relates to the take down tool, would it also be marked with the Imperial stamp and last two numbers of the guns serial?

USMC, Generally no cleaning rods were issued with the 4" barrelled military PO8. If you have an 8" barrelled 1914 Erfurt LPO8 (Artillery model), I would expect it to have an imperial marked (Crown/Franken letter) steel rod with a wood barrel top and a similarily proofed mag loading tool. TH

You are right!I've only to add that the rod should have brass tip and brass swivel wood barrel top parts(for a 1914 Erfurt LP08).
