Post Erfurt-problems.....

I have a 1912 Erfurt police rework. (with sear safety). The gun has been used quite a bit, 90% blue, less than 10% straw. Minor pitting on grip strap (think I can get most of it of...), but all matching with matching police replcement magazine..

But here is the problem:
If I pull the toggle-top back, and then ease it forward it's not possible to fire the gun. The trigger does not work. But if I pull the toggle- top back quite hard/brutally and just let it go forward on its own, it's possible to fire the gun.

Any thought's???

PR, Your problem could be as simple as needing a new sear or firing pin, if it's not cocking. More likely, the disconnector (plunger in your trigger bar) is not getting under the trigger lever in your side plate, when you lower the toggle gentlely,so don't do that. I'd first check the spring pressure on you disconnector and if that seems sufficient, I'd next increase the bevel angle on your triggeer lever. Tom H.
