Post My first Luger...

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and also a new Luger collector. Originally it was my intention just to have one for my militaria collection, but i think i'm already addicted to them :-)

It's an S/42 1936 dated. All nbrs correct except charger. S/N: 5635m, stamps 'eagle/63' and army acceptance. Charger marked '7307' 'g' and '+' and also 'eagle/63'.

My first but certainly not my last...

By the way, how can you post pictures with a topic?

Greets,
Kris

Welcome to the Lugerforum.

To post photographs you must first post the photo somewhere on the internet... The forum has a photo upload feature on the homepage. Your photo must be less than 180K bytes and in either jpg or gif format.

Look in the site help and feedback forum for a tutorial on posting photographs. It is a simple process.

We would like to see the photographs of your Luger.

If you have further questions regarding the use of the site, please post them in the Site Help and Feedback forum.

Welcome to our merry little group!

All of us are happy to have you and some us like to be a little sarcastic at times but please do not take offence. These guns are addictive. Have fun and like me I hope that you can learn from the more experienced and knowledgable members but do not be afraid or intimidated to add your own opinions.

Hallo Kris, nice looking Luger, and welcome to the forum!

[quote]Originally it was my intention just to have one for my militaria collection

You are not the only one to go down this path! The Lugers history can be addictive and there is much to learn. I was near Maastricht, NL for a while, what part of Belgium are you from?

Best to you,

Forgot to mention, grips are marked inside 'S'.
Anyone knows what this means?

Thanks,

Kris

Kris,
Are you sure the "S" mark inside you grips is not a "5" . The wooden grips in most early Lugers are stamped with the last number of the serial number of the gun, often the last two serial numbers. Nice gun and I regret to inform you that there is no known cure for "Lugereites" other than total isolation from the cause.A brief cure can be made by obtaining more Lugers.
Regards,
Murray.

Hi and thanks for the replys.
Indeed, it may well be a '5' instead of an 'S'.

Regards,

Kris
