1940 on reciever ,"42" on Toggle link (I believe that was the code for Mauser), SN-8518 with #18 on all parts except the takedown lever.
"655" proof marks on reciever and that funny looking (scrypt)"h" on the frame. Importer is : C.I.A. ST ALB VT. |

Hi Jeff, about all I can add is it was completed around July or August 1940. Documentation is nearly nonexistent!!

ST ALB VT.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,Geneva">Jeff, here is a quick run down, although you might know this: 42 is the manufacturer code for Mauser 655 is the proof mark, along with an eagle / swastika, usually shown as E/655 the h goes with the sn, so your Luger is either an East German or Russian re-work, originally made in the Nazi era (completed around July or August 1940 as Frank said), and then imported by Century International of Vermont.
