Default 1918 Erfurt Luger

I inherited a 1918 ERFURT Luger. It was imported by Century Arms St. Albans VT. It appears to have been a Russian capture(X on the barrel by the date). All the numbers match except the Safety bar and the Trigger. The grips do not match. I was wondering what something like this is worth or is it a shooter???

It is likely a "shooter", and worth in the neighborhood of $777, +or-. JMHO.

Don nailed it: Import marks+ Russian X+ mismatched numbers= shooter.
But please note that these are usually good shooters and there is a market for them. $700-$800 is probably pretty close, depending on your region and other circumstances.

Welcome to the forum. Check out our FAQ document for good reference information on Lugers.

http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=13121

I have a Russian Capture 1921 dated DWM that I do consider collectible because it is a complete never reissued pistol rig with both numbered magazines and essentially in it's re-arsenal condition and is all matching. People that collect these Russian Capture pistols would consider them collectible in that sense.

As an original issue Luger to most collectors it would be considered a shooter.
