Post What year is my American Eagle Luger

I have a very nice .30 American Eagle Luger serial numbered 66,XXX and would like to know exactly what year it was made. It has Germany stamped on the frame under the serial number, is that normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

Since there are no production records any more, it is impossible to say "exactly" what year it was made. Given that the 1906 model (which is what your American Eagle is) continued on for some time after the introduction of the 1908 model up to serial number range of about 69000, a "guesstimate" on your 66XXX numbered gun would be around 1909. The Germany export stamp on your gun is absolutely correct.
