Anyone seen one of these?
After WWI the brits lacked funds and couldnt afford their military cadets shooting .455 cartrides, so they had Parker Hale make 22LR kits for training. The barrel has a cone at the back that fills the forcing cone in the barrel and a brass bushing at the front so the rifling wont get marred. Tighten the "nut and it is fixed in place. The super neat thing is that the ejection works on the 22LR cylinder. Observe that the cylinder chambers are tilted down @15derees, that is so the hammer can hit the rim of the cases. It works quite good but accuracy aint stellar ;-) |

yes, I've had a couple- lots more fun to shoot and cheaper than the .455!
Seeing that "tilted" chamber is a little odd for sure - but it works. Ron, not especially rare, many were imported back in the days of "cheap" Webleys. Once were $100 to 200 items, now probably $500.

They were made by Parker Hale, as you said; and sold commercially also.

I had a one of these a while back. I sold it to a collector, but may be getting it back soon.
It was at the time the only one I had ever seen.
