Default Cavalry Luger

A 1910 dated DWM issued to 4.Jaeger zu Pherd, 4.Eskadron. Waffe 13. I acquired it several years ago.

A couple of weeks ago I snagged its stable mate in an obscure Florida auction. A happy find but no matching mag with this one. Unit marking is 4.Jaeger zu Pherd, 2.Eskadron. Waffe 14.

George, that's a particularly nice pair and also photo presentation. Thanks for sharing it!

It's interesting that only three weapons apart in the unit, they are a few thousand serial numbers away from each other.

Now, if you show up next with the horse, I'll be beyond impressed!

I don't like horses, they step on your feet and they bite.

Pretty amazing collection you have there George, thanks for showing. Are the saddle, sabre and pickelhaube unit marked as well?
Best regards, Norm

Norm, the sabre and saddle are marked to 1.J.z.P., the lobster-tail isn't marked but it's a helmet unique to JZP units.

Nice to see the rig and the two pistols together after so long a journey!

Nice documentation of a reunion! *sigh* But now I think I need a pre-1914 configured Luger. I've begun to appreciate the uncluttered look of no grip safety or stock lug. Sort of like my LP.08 (sans stock lug).
