Years ago, after a hard day of military-ing, us guts-&-glory guys would sit at the local bar and play Name That Quote from movies, usually movies that were on the bar TV that night. Like, who actually said "Play it again, Sam" in Casablanca.
![]() Anyway, I was looking for the quote [two quotes actually] from Absence Of Malice, and found this site: http://www.script-o-rama.com/table.shtml Hundreds of scripts! I found the Absence Of Malice script and read the entire thing through in ~20 minutes (2 hour movie). I was amazed at how accurately the movie actually followed the script. ![]() Some scripts have just the dialog, some also have descriptions of what's going on in the scene. I read Casablanca and was amazed again. 15 minutes this time. ![]() Pretty interesting. It surely beats watching the brain-numbing 'reality' shows on TV at night. Especially if you've seen the movie and can picture every scene in your mind... ![]()

And of course, nobody ever said "Play it again, Sam" in the movie.

![]() And Mae West never said "Why don't you come up and see me some time"... Those were great times. There were some nights I drove home with half a dozen shot glasses in my pocket (redeemable for a beer at some later date). I still have a couple in my cupboard... ![]()

Thanks, you just made me read my favorite movie script, instead of finishing up my new 1911 sear jig!

This one's not there:
