Default Bfore the Luger there was..

Does anyone have any knowledge on this weapon that the German Navy used before the Luger came along.

They probably used it prior to and during the time of the P04. The US Navy used Cutlasses past the WWI era. I'm assuming the "61" is the date of manufacture? That is a very cool item!
