An interesting set of pictures and account. I find it most interesting that it was actually decided that it was "ok" for the French destroyer to fire "in bound" rounds at the sub -- even if the idea was quickly reviewed and the firing stopped. I suspect the locals and tourist found the live fire spectacle quite exciting !!
