Ok, here is my K date I just got back from GT
He did a heck of a nice job, this was the barrel I picked up at auction, and the upper was a nice K date, but a mismatched, import marked barrel, so no guilt at making an 8 inch K date. Afterall, when Eugene gets done with my carbine, it'll be a G date Carbine

Purrrrr't Do you anticipate problems with toggle because of length of barrel? Ejection, shell loading??

I don't, as the artillery was an eight inch; but the upper is really tight, thinking I should have used another upper I have, just thought a K date upper sounded cool.
I have shot 8 inch barrel in 30 luger and 9mm and not had an issue, now, 16 inch, I have never had good luck except as single shots... So, we;ll see. Ed |

That GT does do some nice work. That would a nice choice for your carbine if everything works good for you.

Really Cool! I like long barreled Lugers. Owning a long barreled K date is awesome.

Ed: Perhaps you could be starting a fad??
I realize that it is no substitute for your new, old carbine. But it should get your mind off the carbine for a little while. Jack |
