Tools to counterfeit
If one goes to Ebay and searches on either "Mauser punch" or "Waffenamt Punch", then one can see a few punches which assist in counterfeiting. To see these, it may help to be on alert for some "fake" items.

Jim, I would love to own an original set of eagle 6 ones, or WW1 dies.
However, the purposeful making and selling of fake dies I find morally wrong IMO.... |

Well, more knowledge should help to be aware that such activity is alive, preying upon lack of knowledge---so, purchase good books, use this forum, and be vigilante. I agree with Ed about the morality of such.
