I recently acquired a Black Widow Luger which does not have the grooves for shoulder stock attachment. Could this be a deliberate factory omission? has anyone else ever seen WWll luger with this feature?

I have known a couple of Luger owners years ago (ot collectors but shooters) who found the stock lug uncomfortable in their hand and intentionally had it removed and then had the frame reblued.
I have also know old-timers (when i was not one ) that misinterpreted the law regarding the use of shoulderstocks (National Firearms Act of 1934) and removed the lug to make sure they were "legal"
