Default Cz 27

Hey everyone I just acquired a very nice CZ 27 locally. It appears to be all correct, well it is except for one thing. The barrel which has a very nice bore, has no Nazi proofs on it. It also came with a holster, which is black not the pebble type. And has RBN 0/1272/0002, inside the flap. Is that an correct original period holster? Does that mean the barrel is incorrect?

Thousands of CZ pistols were captured and used by the Germans and were never German proofed. I have a CZ 26 brought back by my dad, which was taken directly from a surrendering German and it has no German proofs on it.

Thank you for your reply, but I forgot to mention the slide and frame are Nazi proofed.

I have seen your thread on the CZ Forum and answered it there a few days ago.

Quote:
There has to be a proof stamp of eagle and swastika on the barrel, the hood of the chamber. There should be acceptance stamps WaA 76 on the right side of the frame and on top of the slide.

The proof stamp is for the test firing with a 20% higher pressure " Beschuß", the WaA is an military acceptance stamp for complying with quality standards.

Which serial number range is yours? Production under occupation was started at 20000 in 1939 and went to 475000 in 1945. The first ones had a polished blue finish, later it was changed to a phospate finished frame, blued slide and eventually all phosphated. The CZ logo in the grips was omitted also at some time.
