Hey All
This is my first attempt at buying one of these fine pistols. The one in question has 1939(looks engraved) over the chamber, serial # XX26 with the last three digits repeated on toggel, clip and barrel. Pistol has good blue(looks new not reblue) and sharp checkering on grips with one matching aluminum bottom clip. I see no signs of a maker and need advice on the markings( where or who to ask) Thanks Mike Guam |

If the toggle is marked S/42 it is made by Mauser in 1939.
Did you tear it down and check out the firing pin and hold open to see if it matches? Same with the extractor. Lonnie |

Check the technical info pages to your left and you will find most of the typical markings to be found on your pistol and their meanings. There SHOULD be a marking or code on the front toggle link that will indicate the manufacturer of your Luger. If you need additional help, feel free to ask. Newcomers are welcome here... Congrats and what sounds like a fine Luger. How about posting some photos of it for us to see? If you open a profile, you can have your Luger photos posted permanently in the Owner's Gallery, and your photo would be welcome in the Rogues Gallery as well.
How about a short briefing on what the Gun ownership laws are like on Guam? regards, John Sabato |
