I know you're excited. I hope that you are pleased with your purchase when you see it. Lugers are really neat weapons. Welcome. Check in on the forum every day, click on "new posts" and learn a lot.

Welcome!!!
Yes, please post pics and your opinion of RGuns selection & service. I've heard only good things about RGuns...With one exception... We really must get someone from RGuns in here to tell us about their company...

Given the price, Rguns cannot be too wrong. My first "collectible" Luger was a American Historical Foundation Erfurt 1914, fully engraved and silver plated, which cost me 4x hand-picked quality WWII Rguns (the base material was not better than Rguns). Sold later,,,, although I did not shoot a single round from it, I only got 3x Rguns back,,,, lost one
![]() === Recently, saw one ad post asking $1400 for a AHF "Field Marshall" 1930. Owner's father paid $2800 for it in the past. Obviously, I was not the only one making that mistake. |

BTW...There has been considerable confusion about RGuns web site...It is -
http://rguns.net/index.shtml ...and not Richardson Gun Shop... ![]() The page for the Lugers is at - http://rguns.net/pistols/semi-auto-pistols-other.shtml I have visited RGuns site, and cordially invited them to visit and hopefully join LugerForum.com...I would like to hear their history, particularly how they get their Lugers... ![]()

I sure will post pictures when I get the chance. I am pretty excited about it. Even if it is beat up and missing a lot of finish, I will still be able to appreciate it for what it is. I'm sure that pistol will have been through hell and back on the Ostfront.

Hey all. I have not received my Luger yet , but I did get a chance today to go by the NRA's Firearm Museum and there a few amazing looking Luger's in there. They apparently had a 9x19 Luger that was used as a trial pistol for the US. They had one of the handguns that came before the luger, I cant remember the name. The coolest thing however was Herman Goering's personal shotgun for hunting.

You will get a nice, interesting Luger for the price, I didn't get what I paid or asked for when it came to my order from RGuns, and their after purchase service was indifferant at best, but I did get a mechanically sound Luger in decent condition with all matching numbers (except for the magazine).
I had looked at Jackson Armoury's Luger's in person which where in worn condition and much more expensive, all in all, I'm glad I went with RGuns for a shooter. I just don't like their attitude to the customer after the sale. A simple, "I'm sorry, let's try to fix this for you" would have turned my experience/perception a 180 degrees from what it is right now. Simple good customer service and I would have bought a second one on the spot, they lost that sale and all possible sales from me in the future. |

Is that right??? If you ordered from RGuns on the basis on my recommendation, then please accept my sincere apologies. I will not be recommending them again... ![]()

I believe in the other thread it was also a Police Pistol.
Yes you are a lucky man in not getting what you paid for this time.

I don't know about that...but they can capture the imagination...especially if they have the unit stamped into the grip strap...
A WW I or II unit stamped VoPo refurbished police Luger would definitely stir my imagination...Wondering where that pistol had been, what it had done, whether its owners had survived... ![]()

It's necessary to have right expectation. If collecting many Lugers, or many Lugers pass though the collection, some might come expensive, and some might come cheap (even on same variation, similar condition). If buying one from Rguns,,,,, as a seller, Rguns doesn't have magic, they also need to follow market value etc. As a buyer, expectation on quality should not be set too high.

Can't wait to see what you get. I almost ordered one from them but a couple turned up for sale on backpage. I was able to actually check them out in person and ended up buying both!
