Don't start threads often but today is the Birthday (shipping date) of my earliest Model 1911.
SN 113 is 100 years old today. So I thought I would throw a party with some of its peers. Here is a photo. Upper left: Model 1900 Luger, US Test, SN 7024 Upper right: Colt Model 1902, US Army Test gun, SN 15134 Lower left: Model 1902 Luger fitted with the Powell Indicating Device, SN 22441 Lower right: The birthday boy, Colt Model 1911, SN 113, the last gun with the large US Property and with all the early features. Enjoy John |
