Here [OT as you guys say] is one of my HSc's. This neat little gun is # 792154 - Eagle/L [police] accepted and came with two matching numbered mags, a standard police holster with the GI's name/SN on a tag attached to the holster.
It was stored that way on the ship coming home. [I guess they did not want to contend with 3000 guys with handguns?] There was another holster [shoulder rig] that was unmarked and probably postwar. Orv Reichert http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/HSc-792154.JPG |

Interesting little conundrum here......how did the GI coming home on the boat get a post-war shoulder holster? hmmmmmmm. Rather like a Roman soldier going home in 44 B.C. getting coins marked 55 A.D.
