Need help identifying this Luger

I was given this Luger several years ago by the widow of it's previous owner. She believes her husband may have purchased it from a GI who 'liberated' it following WWII.

I know nearly nothing about the gun. It's in the same condition as when I received it and has not been disassembled or cleaned in that time. I have fired a couple dozen rounds with it and it has the clip that came with it (not shown in the attached images.)

I'm hoping you can help me to answer several questions about the Luger.

1. What is the overall provenance of the Luger? Do the parts match? What year was it made and by whom?

2. What condition is the gun in? It has what appears to be wear in the finish but no major scratches, rust or pitting.

3. What's the retail and insurance value of the gun?

If you have the magazine, I'd post some photos of that, especially the bottom if it has any numbers or symbols. If it is a modern Mecgar then just indicate so. Also- any holsters?

Until the gun is dismantled and it is determined that all the internal parts match the rest of the gun it is impossible to give you a value.
On the surface, you have a Mauser made Luger produced in 1941. It appears in all original, unmessed with condition, which would indicate that all the parts most likely match. But until that can be determined, value is relative.

CC looks like a pretty nice Luger. It was completed about May 1941. As alanint pointed out, internal matching numbers are important in determining value. Keepus posted!

Kent..As you see above more needs to be disclosed..You could have a $650 shooter or a $1200 collector pistol.
