Introducing myself...

Hi,

just joined, thought I'd introduce myself. I got interested in collecting Firearms a while ago (got my C&R). I have a German Mauser 98k rifle. It shoots well and I like it. It's a Russian capture and the stock was covered in a horrible red shellac finish (the Russians put that on?). I am currently in the process of striping and refinishing the stock. It should look good when I am done, but it is a long process to get all the coats of finish on there.

Yeah it won't be "all original" since I refinished the stock, but its what I want to make it look nice.. "I don't live in a museum"

Hopefully soon I'll get a Luger p08 to go along with the 98k.
Lots of info on this site, I'm glad I registered so I can read it all.
