Default Your Back Yard

Not being able to get around and playing with my luger I took a picture of our background and a picture of our resident osprey yesterday morning. I know someone out there have some beautiful moments you care to share.

Default We Have A Blue Heron

Its wild to watch them swallow a fish all the way down its long neck.

Yes, they are called Koi, I have eleven, all over 28" long.

You would never believe if I told you, what some of the ones I have cost, you could buy one of the most expensive lugers you could find. I didn't buy them, but well to do friends did and they were given to me after they were over the hill to show and that's the only reason I have them in my pond.

I have a friend that lives in the North Carolina mountains.

His neighbor insisted on constructing a Koi pond and stocking it behind the house.

The neighborhood bears feasted that night like never before.

It was not peaceful nor restful...

A haiku seemed appropriate:

Slivers of moon flashed beneath the wave. A bite and all dissolved to dust...

well, my scenery right now is not so beautiful as you guys have some great scenery right there!


1. 50 cal
2. This was beautiful, the mountains near us, most likely in or very close to the Iranian border
3. My home sweet home
