Default Marokko Rif

Hello,

Picked up this Luger yesterday.
The seller told me it is from the "Marokko Rif or Berber Kontrakt".

It is a 7,65 mm para and the barrel is 98 mm long.
The number is 6240 u.

Does somebody have more info about this luger and the contract.

kind regards

Otto

Search the forum threads for "Riff Contract Question" by Dwight Grubber. There is extensive information there.

( I don't know how to post a link to this thread. Can anybody help?)

Doubt this luger is a Riff contract luger. My understanding tells me the toggle should be blank, although the "u" suffix may be correct. This particular luger looks refinished, note the extractor!

Easy enough... just copy the URL from your browser address bar when you are looking at the thread you want to point at...and paste it on it's own line in your posting... the forum software will convert it to a link automatically...

A very nice looking Luger... numbered in the commercial style... the strawed extractor may be puzzling, or it might be a replacement, but contrary to my good friend Herb's opinion, I can not be sure that the gun has been refinished from these photographs... the lighting and focus are just not quite good enough for me to make that kind of evaluation.
