I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I joined today because I am interested in purchasing my first Luger but can not establish a value because the numbers do not all match. I welcome your comments and estimated value of this gun. The barrel has 1937 date code and 2260, the rest of the gun has DWM, 2266, and 66 markings. Thanks.

non matching is a shooter
Value $500-$750 (not including holster and depending on where you live) And if it is a friend of mine selling to you (price should be higher )What are the markings on the holster? The extras? Extra "original" mag, loading tool, etc? Original and repro make a big difference in value... Ed

Holster has "eue/41" and the german eagle with the letter "WaA300" beneath. What is the holster worth? I can send you a better picture if you post an email address or tell how to send it using this forum.
Thanks. Last edited by tubsee; 01-25-2011 at 01:02 AM. Reason: correction |

Perry..Ed is correct on his estimate because of the mismatch..your pistol has a WW1 DWM toggle and I would check to see if it functions properly if you do plan to pursue it. Might not with so many mismatched parts.
The plastic bottom magazine is another $150 the holster looks to be worth $300 Jerry Burney

With the barrel only six numbers off, could this have been a factory mistake?

Based on the DWM and serial number can anyone date the frame? 1913?

If the pistol alone were selling here/locally, you could easily get $850 - $900 for it...mismatched or not...
