magazine out of a 1938 s-42 ?

This magazine came out of a luger I bought recently. It has a wooden bottom and looks old, can someone tell me what year and what model it came out of. Thanks.

The markings on the bottom of the spine are Portugese. Could be of their production or more likely an earlier German mag that they reblue and installed one of their wood replacement bottoms. TH
