Default A new way to sell Lugers...

I know what I will be doing with all the $500 shooters that come along.

That Luger has been listed before. By the time the seller pays the listing, selling and photo fees, he'll end up with $1.98.

Why would anyone pay so much for so little? That's one expensive paperweight.

I wonder if the lower half and part of the toggle could be saved.

The barrel and upper are toast as the weld ruined the heat treat I would think.

The guy who did the welding wasn't very careful.
He even melted a hole in the toggle link.

There should be a law against such a destruction of history. Makes my blood boil.

It's like seeing a vintage gun at a damn gun buy back table that you know is gonna be hacked up and melted.

In Miami, we used to really upset the local authorities by standing outside gun buyback centers with cash in hand to pick up any interesting items for the agreed upon $50 the authorities were offering. This type of transaction was legal back then although it has become more complicated lately.

The trick is starting from $0.01 and no reserve. It works better than Buy It Now $800.

Alanint

I bet the local anti-gun politicos where having coronaries when they found out what you gents where doing at those phony gun buy backs. Great stuff!

A few years ago in my county a District Attorney got into trouble. It was discovered that his massive gun collection turned out to be composed of confiscated or unclaimed stolen property. He had some nice guns, much better then having them tossed in the ocean!

DEP won't let us toss junk guns in the ocean anymore. We used to go out to 1000+ feet and dump banker boxes of confiscated or unclaimed stolen guns overboard.
Someone at state level thought this was polluting the ocean so they stopped the practice. However we still continue sink decommissioned WWII vessels off shore to provide artificial reefs.
