So I finally got a Luger.

A 1920 commercial DWM in 30 cal. To be exact. German import marked under the barrel and mag. The grips and mag's bottom are wooden. The gun is all matching as well. All numbers on all the parts match each other. This is my first Luger, and I have wanted a Luger since I was 14 after watching the Band of Brothers mini series.

I think the 1920 commercial is the old way of saying it; and technically its a germany "export" marking

Thanks. I really like the gun. Now I just need to get some ammo. I saw some at a local shop the other day for $23 dollars a box. I believe it was from Fiocchi. I just hope it's still there.

You can pick up 9mm Winchester at www.southernohiogun.com or other types 9mm at www.aimsurplus.com. Both are pretty fast shipping and cheaper. Why pay scalpers prices. The ammo crunch is easing up, the trick is now in sourcing.

,,, Vlim,,,,,,, you got me. Failure to pay attention to detail. However, let me fix it. Here's some sources for .30 Luger; www.grafs.com or www.midwayusa.com. On the bad side, it's a little more expensive, on the plus side, there really hasn't been a shortage of it once you find a source. BTW, Welcome to the forum.

Shooting a 9mm conversion with a .30 cal. recoil spring will result in failures to eject or chamber with the slightest relaxation of the wrist while shooting, and will increase "battering" stress at the end of the recoil stroke.
