Default How does one tell the difference between

a 1900 and a 1902 AE luger? Are there any real differences other than the 02 having a higher S/N?

It's more than s/n. Dwight has an excellent paper on DWM commercials. If you go to the bottom of the message board..... it's under "Research Archives" --> "Commercial Lugers".

Also Cross referencing Ron's tutorial on frames "Research Archives" --> "Early Lugers (1900 - 1906)" --> "Early Frame Tutorial"

Luger system is complex.
