Default Internet Dealers

If I am touching on a topic that is not allowed, please remove this post. I am a newbie and am purchasing my first Luger. Do any of you seasoned vets have suggestions as to the reliability of various internet dealers, such as joesalter.com? Thanks for any help.

Good topic on books; http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...&threadid=6937

Here is exactly what you are looking for;

I thought it was a sticky (so it would stay at the top). I have fixed that.

I have dealt with Joe Salter, had good experiences.

Welcome to the forum; decide what era you want? WW1, WW2? Weimar era? Commericial, etc.

There are folks on the forum with lugers for sale every now and then.

Dan,
I have just listed a really nice 1940 dated 42 code Luger in the Luger Forum Classified.

Hi Ed, I examined the link regarding the gun dealers, but mostly, if not all are from USA, fine I wish I can get Lugers from USA, because there is plenty of Lugers to choose from and the prices are good also. But to get a gun from USA is nightmarish if not impossible.
Has anybody from Europe any honest dealers list, since it is cheaper for me to buy within Europe. Thanks for any help.

Just curious, what are gun laws like in Malta?

Tried "CMR" in Britain?

In the past it was not possible to own any gun except for shotguns, ten years ago we managed to acquire a licence to own what we call collecting guns that has to be pre 1940.
In 2005 with a lot of persuasion and lobbing we managed to change the law in our favour.
Now any body that can obtain a collecting licence after an interview with the police, can own any gun even full automatic as long as it is pre 1946.
Then there is also a shooting licence that can be obtained after an intensive course. With this licence any gun with a barrel above 4 inches can be used for target shooting. We can also use rifles as long as they are semi automatic.
I think that we have achieved a lot these last few years and we are working hard to keep as it is.
This is all in a nutshell if you want to visit our club web site were there is more information this is the address

Tried CMR, but to buy from UK it is more a problem than USA. Especially now, that they are contemplating to ban even sword. I prefer to buy from Germany or Belgium.
