Default 1937 S/42 toggle "Dots"???

While cleaning and fondling my beloved S/42, I took note of two previously unnoticed "dot" markings on the forward part of the toggle (not sure of the nomenclature of this part...help me here). I was wondering just what these dots denote.

Anybody care to enlighten the unenlightened?
Thanks in advance...

...er, ah...I reckon that part might be called the "bolt". Just a wild guess on my part. Sorry, I wasn't thinking...again.

Its the breechblock. And the "dots" are probably hardness tests.

You see these on Swiss M1929 Bern Lugers...hardness tests...similar to the Rockwell Hardness Test...
