Lightbulb Ultimate recoil spring tool?

After almost shooting the recoil spring into my eye, I've decided for a more professional approach.

I find a retaining ring plier very handy.

Ciao

Paolo

Paolo

There is a pretty good article on main spring compression on this form, yours is another great idea, and would go perfectly with that post. Almost everyone has had at least some problems getting the spring out and back in. That tool described on the other post works very well.

Yours is a Good Idea Too!

Nice clear picture also!

Vern

Hugh is right.
Very disturbing.
I have to remember which layer I am putting gun parts on as I disassemble them so as not to mix parts from different guns/layers as I try to reassemble one.
Now if I can just get this Colt & Wesson working again!
