Police Luger Book--Announcement
A few weeks ago Ed Tinker invited me to write a book with him on Police Lugers. This seems like as good a time as any to announce that the book is underway.
We plan a volume which will cover Lugers in police service from the end of WWI into the 1950s. In addition to an extensive gallery of examples, the book will include a complete guide to identifying the markings commonly found on police Lugers, and the most current information on some little-known variations. Publication will probably occur in a year. --Dwight |

I have been out of town, but knew that Dwight would be posting. Dwight and I have talked about this for a year or two, but really decided to go forward just a short while ago, since it was a subject we both have been interested in for years. From my point of view, the last 7 years, as my first interest in lugers was Weimar Police and their history.
