Default storage

I am in prosess of moving and have stored my guns in a safe in a storage unit, before storing my guns I gave them a coat of riggs grease as I was told this was a very good long term storage grease. has any one had any experiance with this stuff? thanks

Yeap, Universal Rig Grease is the same product which I use on my Lugers, some of which are in storage in a metal trunk, and it is the best product to preserve and protect against rust. Avoid getting Rig Grease on the wood grips because this may attract mildew. May I also suggest that you insert your pistols in a quality pistol pouch which has flease lining. I use padded pistol pouches made by The Allen Company which are superb, but they are expensive ($15-$20 each) and they difficult to find.

You pistols well 'sleep' well until you take them out of storage.

I have for over 40 years now used RIG must say with all the new "High Tec" stuff out there you still can't beat it. Never had a problem with it unpacked some guns 20+ years later with no problems. Try that with some of the high tec stuff.

Many times, 'high tech' products falls short of the standard when compared to the 'good old stuff' such as RIG! They make claims which are false because it is all about marketing.
