Just wanted to say a big Thanks! to Tom Heller for working on my Lugers. He installed a 6" barrel on my DWM 1916 & it shoots great. See attached targets. This was at approx. 50 ft. shooting off the hood of my Jeep. Federal 124 gr. FMJ.
He also repaired the rear sight on my 1917 LP08, so that it no longer pops up under recoil. Fast work and well done! I highly recommend him. Steve |

Steve,
I've also been seriously considering upgrading my shooter to a six inch barrel. Once I get some health issues taken care of, I'll probably take the plunge. If you post some photos of your pistol with the new barrel, I'll send you some targets! Welcome to the forum! Dave in TN. ![]() |

Hi, Dave!
Hope you are feeling better soon. It will be a few days before I can get some shots of the 1916 with the 6" barrel, but it does look good and seems to shoot very well. Tom installed the barrel, test fired it and tuned it up with a new spring. I will be working up some cast bullet loads, since I cast a lot of bullets from wheel weights - cheap shooting! Tom will do a great job for you, and I am sure that you will be pleased with the results. Steve |
