Abc 20/20
Their segment this week was the most positive gun control coverage I have seen by a major network. They pointed out that gun control laws have never resulted in a reduction of violent crime.
They even said that gun ownership in communities has shown lower rates of violent crime. Interviewed criminals said they were wary of homes with guns in them. Seems gun control advocates are losing ground. I wonder if the media is thinking if the Second Amendment goes, could the First be far behind?

Chuck, was that John Stossel (sp)?
He's about the only one of those yahoos with a head on his shoulders.

I believe it was. The show had several 'bad idea' segments. But I thought is was interesting that a major network (who have been anti-gun) would run a pro gun segment.

I went to see it shortly after posting. It was Stossel.
I believe his contract says he can do anything, otherwise I'm certain they would have censored that segment. Probably the first pro-gun segment on any major television network in 30 years or more. Next thing you know someone will be saying, "hey, let's scotch tape that Bill of Rights back together and see if we can figure out what it means". (I won't hold my breath for that quite yet.)
