Default few questions

I have a few questions, about LP.08. I hope somebody will find time to help me!

1) The LP.08 was used by the Artillery, Machinegun groups, Storm-Troops, also by the Marine under the Weimarperiod, but which type of Marine personal? And the Airman did also have some LP.08, again which type of personal?

2) Was the trommel magazine and the P-Kasten only used by the Storm-Troops?

3) The trommel magazine was loaded by a loading tool, and it has a lever to tight the spring.
Now to my question: is it necessary to use booth, the lever and the loading tool, for loading the Trommel magazine? (i never had a TM i my hands)

Sej-gun, it is necessary to use both. First you must relieve the spring with the cocking handle and then use the loader to load the magazine.

sej-gun here are a few more thoughts on your questions.
1. Not only the units listed by you but also pioneers, Minenwerfer and infantry during the war. I have seen one photograph of an observer in an airplane armed with an LP08. During the Weimar period we know that naval units had LP08's but I do not know what specific units.
2. The TM magazine and Kasten were certainly used by Stosstruppen but were also probably used by others as well. Many were used in 1918 by Stosstruppen with the MP18. During the early Weimar period the MP18, TM08 and Kasten are often seen in use by police.
Hope this helps.

Tac, happy for your input. I don't normally think of Zepps and U-boats because I have never seen LP08's unit marked to them although a recent internet offering of a photo seemed to show a guy on a U-boat of uncertain date with an artillery. Although the LP08 is frequently accredited to naval use I find it odd that so many of the P04's are marked to naval units but we don't see any LP08's so marked.
