Default Covering import marks

Gun Broker has a Century Arms Russian capture luger with import marks under the barrel. How would you go about covering the marks. Thanks Brushy SE Okla.

1. You could take them off by sandaper, then it would require rebluing that spot.
2. You could cold blue over them, so they don't stand out.
3. You could refinish the entire gun.

A bit of controversy, some folks say they are required and you can't take them off. From what I beleive and understand, once the gun is sold, the marks are no longer required to be on.

I concur with Ed, once the gun is sold by the importer, the marks can be removed.
