WWII P08 K98 Instruction Manual

Hello Guys,
I have just received this interesting official WWII booklet concerning the K98 and P08. The booklet describes in 40 pages the K98 and the P08. Technical descriptions, use, maintenance and so on. What is really nice is that it contains two cut-away colors table of the K98 and P08.
A German company specialized in the translation of old German manual into English asked me of producing an English translation of this booklet.
I have accepted therefore in the next months I will participate with these gentleman to produce a booklet close to my original but in English. I guess a really nice experience.

I will let you know when the translated booklet will be available in case you would like to order a copy.

Nice. They republished it just after the war. I have a post-WW2 version of the same booklet. Nice stuff.

Hi Guys,
I have start working on it. I am scanning all the pages and providing them to the German expert that will translate the book into English.
According to the German translator, he needs a couple of months.
Actually this guy is a teacher and does this work in the free time.
I will let you know when the booklet will be available.

The eagle and swastika stamp are interesting; they appear to be early SS. Is the booklet dated?

Tom,
The booklet is undated but the first page is partially cut. Maybe the date was written on this page.
The name of the owner is still on the book as well as the unit:
"Sturm 7/249" or "Sturm 7S249".
I guess that DV means "Dienst Vorschrift".

I keep note of the people interested.

The booklet has been translated into English.
You can order the booklet in the web site of the translator.
In addition there are several more booklets and manuals translated.
I found very well translated the 1917 LP08 + TM08 manual (see picture).

I've been looking for a Luger Manual erverywhere but could not find anything in nice printable quality. If by chance you've already scanned it, might it be possible to obtain a copy "as is" in german language? Actually I'd prefer to have the german version. Maybe you could provide it as PDF-document?
