Roadkill, the fellows in the first photo are Austrian so I would guess that the two holsters visible hold neither Luger nor C96.

Hi RK
The fellow in the foreground of the first picture has a Roth Steyr holster. Judging by the strap placement, the MG operator is carrying the same thing.
That also fits George's ID as being Austrians
