Default Stoeger American Eagle

I have a stainless 9 mm Stoeger American Eagle w/4" barrel. I was wondering if anyone knew why some of these have a year stamped on top right below the American eagle emblem and others apparently do not. BTW, mine has the year 1993 stamped on it. Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome to our little funny farm where the inmates rule!

To answer your question, I do not know why some have a year stamp and others do not. I have a year 2000 with a stamp and one a couple of years newer without.

Thanks for the repy Steve. I have since found out that after 1994 Stoeger (AIMCO) stopped stamping year dates. I also ran across one of these unstamped lugers on gunbroker within the last week and bidding went up to $1,300 U.S. and the reserve still was not met by the end of auction. The seller was also throwing in stuff such as extra mag, repro holster, literature etc.

Anybody have an idea what these usually bring? For $1,300 I would part with mine!

These usually go between $350 and 900... depending on who is selling and who is buying and condition and accessories... $1300 is unwarrented IMHO.
