Replaced barrel?
The barrel on my 1917, 6" DWM P08 9mm Luger has "Bohler Stahl made in Austria" on it. The barrel looks about the same as the rest of the pistol in blue remaining and some wear. "made in Austria" is English which bothers me. Either way, I will love and keep it but would like to know before I fire it a lot.
Question is, does that mean this is a replaced barrel? I can use any/all help possible from the forum members. Thanks in advance.

"policeluger" has it right about being a replacement part, but the "Bohler Stahl" is one of the best steels ever made for barrels. The replacement does hurt the collectors value, but you have a great shooter Luger!

Thanks for the information. I will shoot and enjoy this pistol (and love it).
