Default Still's Imperial Luger book

So went to Still's web book site and Imperial Luger is not available, same for Amazon; out of print out of stock and so would appear I'm out of luck.

Know of anyone or place selling it for more or less 'sticker' price?

Thanks,
Tony

And to think I agonized over spending an extra $150 for my first luger!

100,000 euros and/or ~$5K US for a 300 page book about them!
Let alone they still want $4 shipping for it!

Thanks for your offer Ed, but something more in the $65 US range is what I was thinking....

Tony, Two things will probably take place before you find Imperial Lugers (out of Print) for $65.00
1. You will grow old and die.
2. Jan Still will re-publish it.
Which one takes place first will be a crap shoot. Jerry Burney

I just found a listing for one yesterday for $95.00. I sent my money right away. I hope I receive the book and not a return of my check. If it indeed is a clean deal, I'll let all know if they have any more.

I know we've been kidding around, but Jack makes a good point, kepp looking... I found a copy of Costanzo on e-bay for really cheap last year, they had a buy it now on it.

Many folks don't know it is "rare" or unusual and sell it at a normal book price. I bet I see a copy of two of Imperial at the Reno show, expect them to be at $125 (which is "normal" rare and unusual price on out of stock)

Thanks for the info.

Seeings that I'm a dutchman (in more ways than one) I'll probably sit tight and wait for a re-published version to come out.

But obviously I'll keep an eye out and if any forum members get a tip, I'd appreciate a note.

In the meanwhile will have to see if the local library can locate me a copy to check out...............

I found a copy of J. Brunner"s Colt Pocket Pistol book at Amazon, and had gift coupons to boot!

Good to see the author has a heart and sense of humor even if the book brokers don't.

Suppose we could start a new thread re the hypothetical question of "If I had $4800 to spend on luger 'stuff' would I order a copy of Jan's out of print book (with free postage of course) or consider that collector's grade luger ..........."

Snowing to beat the band here in West Michigan today. Hear the east coast folks might get clobbered tomorrow........

We had serious winter here for the first 3 weeks of December and figured it was going to be one of those 100 inch plus years. But like most of the midwest it warmed up and we got most of our Jan. ppt as rain. Now that saved us on really obscene nat gas heating billls, but sure didn't seem like winter.

Anyway Feb is going back to 'normal' and the white stuff is back. Unfortunately the commuter population has forgotten how to drive on the stuff and we had a whole slew of ditchings/fender benders out there this AM.
