42 code 1940 question

Should a 42 code 1940 P08 have a matching numbered magazine or not? Thanks very much,

Hi Joe,

Yes matching numbered magazines were used on the 1940-42 production. I believe Mauser stopped numbering mags for the P08 pistols somewhere late in 1941.
